survey of college math - early days

Started on my first homework assignment, linear functions.
Impressions so far: some technical struggles with the school's online learning site, but these are mostly resolved. Class materials are undermined by serious Powerpoint abuse (blinking/scrolling text, silly clip art, oh my!) but stripped of the fluff, are useful. Also rather pleased with the book thus far, as all formulas are highlighted and I can check my own work in the back.
I feared I was going to have to drop more $ on a graphing calculator, but luckily there are lots of freeware TI-83etc emulators out there :)
I know I'll have to work, but I'm not terrified (yet?) I was shaking so hard in my boots when I first started this whole continuing education thing, but I think.. despite myself.. that I'm getting the hang of it. Unless some truly unexpected material is thrown at me, I think I'll do ok :)
Feeling kinda unusual this evening - mostly good but unexplained fits of sneezing (??)
