sewing circle thing

anotheranonOk, no comments yesterday because there was little to comment on. It snowed. I didn't go outside, and could therefore pretend it wasn't there (it looked pretty from indoors though).
Today I went out to a new friend G.'s house for an informal "stitch and bitch" session. For the first time in my life I'm running into people who like to play with clothes but who do not overly concentrate on one particular discipline (like historical, pattern, art-to-wear, fantasy, etc.). Most people I've talked fabric with tend to adhere to one thing, with little/no branching out. So this is a very cool group of people.
I worked on making lacing holes for the stays, G. went through fabric, others were embroidering, drawing, or origami-ing. It was a fun afternoon. We all wanted to make this a monthly thing, I hope it comes together.
Time to go watch X-Files/Sex and the City, assuming either looks very good. its been a long day.
