tentative new years resolutions
Dec. 29th, 2001 11:55 pmTo be changed/edited/added to/ignored as necessary (no particular order):
- Eat better. Difficult because I am really starting to hate to cook, at least on weekdays after I've been at work all day. When I ask D. to cook, he orders out - sometimes healthy, but often not.
- Get into better shape. Continue fencing, keep doing stretches/footwork at home, get next size up dumbells because I WILL have toned arms by summer, dammit!
- Do some minor traveling this year, hopefully with D., but if he can't, at least a weekend trip or two myself. Costume College beckons.
- Work on that damned social bugbear (i.e., not being good at being social). I don't know what that entails. This fact is very indicative of my (lack of) expectation of actual results. But I have to try because I'm also not good at being a hermit.
- Develop stick-to-it-tiveness. Finish scanning the old photos already instead of surfing aimlessly through apparently unimportant websites or mailing list minutiae (or better yet, scan *while* surfing aimlessly). Savor that huge stack of books, and don't stop halfway through because of "no time".
- Speaking of time - budget it better.
- Find some outlet for these directionless creative impulses. Sew more, make more jewelry, take up welding, something.
- Yearly standard that I actually have been able to stick to - try new stuff.
