a very short book review: Story of V
Nov. 21st, 2004 12:46 pmThe Story of V: A Natural History of Female Sexuality
by Catherine Blackledge
Rutgers University Press
Due/Published June 2004, 322 pages, paper
ISBN 0813534550
Short version: This book is the owner's/user's manual for the female genitalia. The scientific and cultural research is, on all levels, more in-depth and more up-to-date than anything I've read in "Our Bodies, Ourselves" or any other women's sex/health book.
If you're a woman, get it (I plan to when I can, and thank
jlsjlsjls for letting me borrow her copy). If you're a man, get it for your female partners - hell, get it for your mothers, daughters, and sisters too. It's THAT good!
