cat lady

Just finished up the last of the code cleanup that needed to happen. Which is a reason for celebration because I was getting sick of working on it and even sicker of browsing every radio show on the planet looking for decent talk radio to listen to while I'm coding (music is out - too distracting). Art Bell no longer keeps free archives, Jeff Rense is usually a little TOO weird and I'd exhausted the NPR and C-SPAN Booknotes archives.

Also managed to avoid the repetitive checking of the new intranet server, which we were all going to be tossed at to correct a problem on one page - can anyone besides me say "too many cooks..."?

On a lighter note, one co-worker stopped by and gushed over pictures of my cats and told me about the 10(!) she has at home. Another asked about my cats' tree - she is looking to get one for her cats for Solstice. So I am getting to know the other cat ladies.

Not such a bad thing, considering that I've patiently endured the rash of oohs and ahhs over new babies/pictures thereof in the office for a few weeks now. Sorry, I just can't get enthusiastic about the little squooshy things; this chip was apparently just never installed.

Time to remember to pick up prescriptions after work (noted here cos I have to note it somewhere so I won't forget). Also time to start going to bed early - the coffee I'm having to consume each morning to stay awake is directly proportional to the amount of anxiety and irritability I experience later in the day.
