Links of the morning
Jan. 20th, 2004 07:55 amI've not read Slashdot in awhile, but at D.'s suggestion I HAD to check out their link to the X-wing Honda Civic. I have a Civic - think I should do this after I finish the Pink Thing? :P
Also, probably old news to everyone else, but I'll repeat it anyway: Farscape is to return as a 4 hour miniseries. Not as good as renewing it, but I'm not going to turn my nose up at 4 more hours of bad pop cultural references, tight black leather, and angst!
For costume nrrds: The Great Pattern Review. Primarily historic costume patterns, though I notice a few Vintage Vogues and Simplicitys in there (would love the backstory on the vinyl Elizabethan!) The great thing is that the site shows finished versions of many of the patterns, illustrating beautifully how you can make something original by selection of trim and or fabric.
The Beating-A-Dead-Horse Dept: the GPR includes the pattern I'm currently fighting with; it seems that the few people who had problems encountered them in the same place (the bodice). Think I'll cut a size smaller and see what happens.
