Fashion and other winter things

anotheranonGot the schedule for the Fashioning the Modern Woman: Couture & Culture in Paris, 1919-1939 symposium at FIT in February. I have books by some of the speakers and this might be very interesting to go to - even the price is right ($75 for both days), it's just that staying in the city would most likely be punitively expensive. Putting this one on the back burner for now - you never know what can happen in 2 months.
The weather was surprisingly kind today (slushy snow that melted on impact), probably because jury duty was surprisingly short :P It won't meet Xmas or New Year's Eves, so no more note taking until the new year, go me!
Stitching furiously away on stays. I'll need to go through my video collection to find a sufficiently long film to keep me in my seat until the binding is on.
I'm getting to sleep before 11 tonight, I SWEAR I will...
