more fashion lust

anotheranonGot this catalog in the mail over the weekend and finally flipped through. It's mostly basics, but I found a couple of gems (like this and this [also this, but I'd choose a different tapestry.]).
I definitely don't need to be shopping right now - I can't afford it and I truly don't NEED anything. I do find myself turning over in my mind how I'd make these things, though - somehow, if it's something I make I can convince myself it's not frivolous because I actually learn something during the process.
And then again, I need to look at patterns like a hole in my head as well - I have a huge backlog of styles I fall hopelessly in love with... every time I see the pattern. If I don't look, I don't remember and can therefore resist temptation.
I swear, I've got to figure out a way to eliminate sleep from my schedule so I can get some serious sewing done. I've not yet found a (legal) way to do this, so I'm trying to do an hour a night. Wish me luck!
