Thank you all again for your kind words. :)

Turns out Kisia HAD swallowed about 6" worth of thread, and they did have to operate :( We were up until 2 waiting on the vet to call with the results. Fortunately, it was a "simple operation", and she was well hydrated beforehand, so we have high hopes.

Cruel irony: over the weekend I was relacing some costumes and even when she was feeling so miserable, she was still watching the lacing tape like a hawk. It is obvious now that I'm going to have to be very careful about her love of string because she clearly doesn't know to control herself! :(

We're going to pick her up in about an hour, so she can recupe quietly at home. D. will be here with her, which is good because I think he was even more worried than I was!

Oh - I'm so glad kitty is ok! I just read back thru your LJ to get the entire thread - poor sweetie!!!!!! Six inches of thread? That is one naughty girl. Give her a good nuzzling for me. I'm glad to hear she's going to be fine.

Oh I'm so happy for yah and Kisia that it turned out for the better.

Spoil her now she deserves that after the pain she had been through.

I guess u got to have an vacuum cleaner next to you and suck up all the threads when u done.
