remember, water is life

Due to a water main break last night, my locale is under boil water advisory/restricted water use for the next 3 days. It's not just about water safety but also usage - biggest impact for us is no laundry, no dishwashing. The latter kinda impacts eating as well - we're having crockpot stew for the next few days.

dotheranon has been through something like this before so he promptly went out and got gallons of bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing face etc.

Should be... interesting.

Not in pants, thankfully, but in hallway aiming for kitchen (site of catfood on floor).

IMHO ants are cool as bugs go, and I am not wildly icked by them the way I am by other creepy crawlies, but obviously they can't stay.

D. went on a murderous rampage with spraying, mopping, and cat food dish removal/cleaning (yes, even with the water situation) and most appear to have been "got". Of course, where there's some there are usually a WHOLE lot more so I'm calling maintenance tomorrow.
