I have been a good person today....
Jun. 7th, 2008 04:28 pmYes, I brought ~5 more patterns into the house (including one for covering/converting an umbrella into a parasol. Because, really, one never knows when one might need a parasol), but I donated 2 large suitcases and their contents to Goodwill. Snagging back floorspace, inch by painstaking inch....
It is hot outside today - miserably, stickily, disgustingly hot. So hot that wearing glasses is almost painful because the earpieces squeeze my head. I say this as someone who loves the summer. It is fair to say that I'll NOT be at Manly Arts day tomorrow unless there is some kind of dramatic weather change.
I have festivities to attend tonight, but before that I'm going to indulge my crazy side and have a cup of coffee while looking for the orangeish taffeta that is somewhere in my stash, just waiting to be converted into burgundy taffeta to line some sleeves - the sleeves on the fulled wool (!) gown I hope to be working on this week, now that I've finished the pattern (hey, if I make it now I won't be furiously making in October to keep warm in November...)
