I went to two local fencing practices tonight - SCA and modern.
This isn't as taxing as it might sound, as they're located only about 5 minutes apart. Normally I don't do sport on Weds. but I wanted to get in just a smidge more practice before this weekend's Big Fat Competition.
Nah, the factor I hadn't counted on was the first official day of my allergy season :P I didn't realize it until I got home and put in my lenses for practice. What really sucks is that I stopped off at the grocery after work but didn't think to put Claritin on the list because I didn't think I needed any.
Two practices and one quick trip to the 24 hour pharmacy (that turned out not to be 24 hour - damn!) later I'm still itchy but the lenses are out, at least. And hey, I can fence while my eyes are trying to leap out of their sockets, so that's a nice discovery! :P
Nice finish to the evening: on the drive home I saw the neighborhood's Grand Old Basset Hound out for a walk with his people. That was one happy dog :)
