bounceback
Mar. 24th, 2008 10:33 pmI helped C. shop for her "first wedding" (i.e., courthouse - not the Big Fat American version, scheduled for next year) dress this weekend. You'd be amazed how damn near impossible it is to find a plain, (mostly) white casual dress. Or, perhaps not - casual white anything is almost impossible to keep clean.
Turns out she found what she was looking for in a catalog, but the trip was mostly an excuse to get out of the house and chat - my idea. It was good - tiring, but much needed. My reclusive vibe was getting out of control and I really needed conversation beyond that of D./the cats.
Tonight I finally felt motivated enough to start one of my planned sewing projects. I'm drafting a pattern for a fitted English gown (second row on the right, brown overgown, assuming I have enough fabric).
Hoping this is the start of a trend and not a temporary blip.
