halloween in the 'burbs

Not doing anything super unusual or exciting, mostly waiting/watching for trick or treaters tonight (years past have been very scattered, with either none or MANY showing up). I will dress, just because - besides, it's a chance to test-run the over-the-knee swashbuckly boots and see how well they go with the venetians/doublet combo. Perhaps "Shaun of the Dead" is in order....

Still feeling headachey/feverish from the flu shot - nothing I can't survive but not a great deal of fun.

halloween wrap up

We got a lot of trick or treaters this year (if a bit late), with passably good costumes - very few of the typical "plastic mask in a bag" thing.

Boots and shirt wore well. Is STILL too hot to put the doublet on top of it. Note to self: Elizabethan garb was not designed for the American mid-atlantic climate.

Humorous video of a feline agility demo - I'm not sure what's funnier, the knowledge that most cats can already leap or go through/under anything you can put in their path, but it's still a grand accomplishment to get them to do it in order.
