building a better villain

Being an INTJ, I don't invent the Death Stars - I just make 'em go. But even I know to avoid the pitfalls that every damn Bad Guy(TM) in every damn 'verse falls into again and AGAIN!

Especially #2 - why are the ventilation shafts always so huge and so clean? I'd have mine tiny and layered with 100 years of filth. Same with the sewers. And absolutely no monologuing my Diabolical Plans, even if I've got Bond surrounded by a legion of Pussy Galores :P

Tony Wilson, 1950-2007. If his real life personality was anything like Steve Coogan's version in 24 Hour Party People, Wilson must have been a pain in the ass, but hey - he DID sign Joy Division and Happy Mondays, who made my teenage years a bit more bearable than they would have been otherwise.
