If I continue my increasingly hard-core interest in historic costume (hell, historic everything), I will wind up at Pennsic sometime within the next 5 years.

Likewise, if I continue my sport fencing with present or greater intensity, I will end up competing within the next 5 years.

Sometimes it doesn't take a psychic to see how things are going to play out.

Even though I have no desire or need to build a siege engine, for some reason it just makes me happy that there are people making full-sized working replicas. It speaks to bloody-minded initiative realized on a large scale that I just admire somehow.

The fact that their acronym is A.S.S.W.H.I.P. is just icing for the silly in me :P
