Yes, I am watching, and yes, I did vote.

I'm surprised how close some of local races are - I took a Democratic majority to be a matter of course but the governorship is close.

Needless to say I'm THRILLED that the national House looks to have a Democratic majority; still hoping for the Senate but it's just too close.

And I've got to sleep - fencing tomorrow.

Fencing went very well considering I was going on 6 hours sleep. Early on in club I slipped into the right mindset for "seeing" the places where my opponents blade was not and ended up winning 5-4 against an opponent to whom I've always lost. Sweet :)

I was close to the end after about 45 minutes but rested and then pushed on for another two bouts - lost both, but they were both new people (to me), mother and daughter and both short and bouncier than rubber balls, impaling me under my blade repeatedly - I didn't stand a chance :P But, I did those last two mostly to work on my endurance.

Good thing I got out as I am not likely to fence (not sport, anyway) for the next couple of weeks: Next Weds C. is visiting (yay!) and the Weds. after that D. and I are on a plane to Atlanta for T. giving.

I'm going to try and do rapier this Sunday.
