There's not a new Harry Potter coming out until next fall, but it seems like the Media Powers That Be are going to try to make up for it. I saw the trailer for The Illusionist (warning: embedded video, may load slowly) last week and thought it looked promising, simply because I'm a sucker for historic-themed movies, and I simply couldn't believe that was Jessica Biel!

But D. just showed me the trailer for The Prestige and I think this will be the winner: the acting power of Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and Michael Caine combined blows the talent quotient off the charts! Besides, it features Nikola Tesla (played by David Bowie? Why? Why not?) so they've got the Weird Eccentric Historical Figure count way way up.

Ok, back to my take-home exam. Really.
