pre exam tension
Aug. 5th, 2005 06:14 pmWaiting for my prof to post the final so I can get started on this thing. Probably won't happen until tomorrow morning, but I feel prepared now.
I find that even though I was pushed by necessity rather than interest into grad school, I kind of enjoy it, much as I bitch about exams, labs, etc. For fall I'm looking at a research stats class that I thought was required (but turns out not to be - I want to take it anyway just because I think it will be useful). and community college trig/calculus (??) prerequisites for a programming course I want to take. I find it curiously amusing that I'm looking at advanced math courses when I hated the subject throughout my entire academic career - oddly, numbers don't seem that intimidating anymore!
I still don't have a carved-in-stone academic objective with this, but if I'm going to be a generalist, by doG I'm going to be damn good at it!
