informal poll: readers?
Jun. 27th, 2005 09:05 pmComing out of several conversations I've had recently, I'm going to throw this out there:
1) Do you enjoy reading for pleasure? Why or why not? Note: I'm not talking about not having the time to read, or having a poor local library system, or other inhibitions to recreational reading. I'm asking - do you enjoy it when you get the chance?
2) If you DO enjoy reading, do you know people who don't? If so, what are their reasons (if any)?
3) Are people truly reading less? Why or why not?

I am far too easily amused
Jun. 27th, 2005 10:57 pmI really should - or shouldn't - check out FriendsFriends more often. After a night of code-blindness,
note_to_cat has me practically in tears laughing:

Understand that we sometimes require alone time. We need these moments to re-affirm our feelings for each other. We know there have been times we failed to close the door and you were naturally curious as to what was going on under the blankets. However, the male human was not amused when you got too curious about the all-important dangly bit. Neither was I, because your attentions really killed the mood.
