Still feeling lousy, though odds are it's at least as much the medicine as the illness at this point :( Nyquil always makes my mind feel muffled, even the daytime variety.

Left work early because of utter uselessness (what office is unequipped with kleenex during allergy season?! I ask you...) and took a nap. Also exercised a little, hoping to raise my body temp to cook this thing out. Still waiting for results.

So, in lieu of real content, I include a link and a quiz.

Link: The Brick Testament - Wow, they sure have expanded the variety of Legos since I was a kid! :P Can someone tell me - how many of these are "out of the box" characters and how many are literally cobbled together?

from jlsjlsjls - you are FRENNNCH, aren't yeiu? )

Slightly old news, but new to me (I think I found it on Metafilter a few days ago): Celebrated rock photographer Anton Corbijn – most renowned for his work with U2 – has been confirmed as the director of the movie, which has a working title of ‘Control’. Deborah Curtis (Ian’s widow) and former Factory Records boss Anthony Wilson will both have co-producer roles on the film.

To those who've never heard of JD, they were one of the great early post-punk "new wave" bands - you may have heard of their post-Ian Curtis incarnation, New Order - they of the World Cup theme, "Blue Monday" and many other minimalist 80's dance classics. I was (and am) a big Joy Division fan, so I have not only some interest in the movie but (of course!) fan-induced paranoia that they'll screw up the casting :P

Who will play Ian Curtis? Google for "Joy Division movie" and you'll see rumors of Jude Law, which I hope is wrong - he's much too old and far too.. healthy looking. The guy who played him in "24 Hour Party People" would make more sense, but if it's going to be made in the U.S. they'll want a "name".

I'm too tired/sick to make recommendations, but open the floor - who should play Ian Curtis? Think early 20s, deeply haunted, capable of jerky dancing on screen (see pic at link). Northern English "Manc" accent a plus.
