the last, absolutely the last....
Feb. 16th, 2005 03:14 pmToday was my last day of the 18 month federal grand jury upon which I've been sitting.
Each and every lawyer who presented evidence today thanked us profusely for our service and apologized effusively that they'd had to carry us over (we were supposed to finish in December).
Even the sitting judge who received our indictments called us into her chambers to thank us especially.
I have a shiny new certificate that thanks me for my service as well. I don't think I can be called again for at least 3 years (of course, this doesn't exclude county jury service, but that's nothing compared to this).
It's over, it's over!!
