Election Night

I Voted... Did You?
Yes indeed, I DID vote, with some trepidation. For on my way to work I passed my polling place and there was a line halfway round the building (!) Given the rumors that there was record high turnout, I left work early and only waited a few minutes. I shudder to think what happened to the crowds who went after work! :(
I'm not getting celebratory or doom-saying yet; I just finished watching the Daily Show's coverage (yes, it's fake news, I know) and it doesn't seem like it's known one way or the other yet.
In the interest of not counting every single electoral vote as it came in, I did some more scanning, some laundry, some pattern cutout (leaning over table = OW! D. doing massage = AH!) and ironing. Just call me Domestic Goddess :P
Even though today it was in the 70s and sunny, I'm preparing for the winter ahead, and this includes... tights. Normally I avoid the clingy things but once weather drops into the lower 40s there's no hope of surviving in a skirt without them.
Luckily for me the trend in skirts seems to be moving away from the 1990s minimalist pencil slim silhouette to a fuller style, so this means I can break out garterbelt/stockings again, yay! Whilst perusing the web for fresh stockings I came across (ok, there was also a link to it in one of my lists) Crepe-Suzette.com, a site which deals in supportive, medical, and old-fashioned underwear.
Now, before you run off screaming "granny panties!", think of the wonderful 1940s looks you can squeeze out of (or rather, into) the all-in-one girdles, or the fetish possiblities of a pure rubber corset. The mind boggles.......
So, yes - I spent most of election night not watching the polls, but looking at vintage lingerie. Shoot me, old habits die hard :P
