fan power

Heard this on NPR this morning and it made my little fan-geek sigh with approval:

Just cracks me up that these 3 kids spent their entire junior high and high school years filming (re-filming?) Raiders of the Lost Ark, and from what it sounds like (listen to the audio at the first link), doing it quite well - building the props, borrowing a real movie camera (this was before the days of handheld digital cameras), memorizing the lines...It just impresses me, the the way that x-wing Toyota Corrolla impressed me - incredibly obsessive, but you've got to hand it to them, that's persistence!

Old news, but news to me: new Farscape tv movie airs on SciFi (U.S.) in October!! More Aeryn Sun (oh, yeah, a plot wrapup of season 4's cliffhanger too :P). And I can't help but think that the massive fan uproar may have had something to do with it getting made at all.
