Still been sitting up straight. Still killing my back, but not as badly - the pinch under each shoulderblade has settled into a dull ache. The good news about it is that I can breathe better (diaphragm can expand, duh!), and even read better - it's as if taking all that pressure off my spine has allowed my brain stem to "unkink", and keeps me from dozing off, besides :) I'm starting to think I should take another stab at "Queen Elizabeth's Wardrobe Unlock'd" (big book of Elizabethan costuming, much of it in 16th century English - bit of a dry read but stuffed with info).

After a late night last night, I got up this morning and cut out a simple wrap top for this week's "instant gratification" project: no tracing off to preserve an expensive pattern; no muslin to fit. I like that just about now :)

Fenced in the afternoon and found my energy winding way down by 5 pm. One of the longsword coaches gave a short lecture on different kinds of cuts and I found myself nearly falling asleep. I'm very grateful we were using wooden swords because I emphatically don't need to be running around with metal weapons when I'm that tired!

I just spent the past couple of hours updating Sally's site - alert fashionistas, the 2005 calendar is all about vintage shoes!!

I'm going to defy precedent and get to sleep before 11 tonight. I dare ya to stop me.

Actually, if you see me post anything past 11, you can call me on it - no donut, or something :P
