pretty shiny things

My latest addition to the ol' Friends page: cyberwarez! I'm told that "cyber goth" fashion is old and tired (at least in London), but I just love the elegant combination of metal, wires, computer chips, and strange knits. No, I have nowhere to wear it - yet. Give me time ;)

Surely this community will feed my desire to make a punky-vinyl-fetish loose gown (photo courtesy Reconstructing History) - in my mind it starts to take shape as a traditional 16th century velvet piece embellished with gold, but it invariably morphs into some hellish concoction of weathered vinyl with spikes on the shoulder rolls and the white stand-up ruff around the collar turns into some batwing-like thing with black pearls.

I hate it when that happens! :P
