Ms. Popularity?

The Other A. last weekend, this weekend my college buddy J. is in town. He travels the world doing computer things, and he's finally in my neck of the woods - looking forward to it as I've not seen him in a few years!

He wants to do old town Alexandria and Adams Morgan and I'm game - anyone know how to see both effectively in one weekend? And what goes on in Adams Morgan during the day (I always think clubs/restaurants)?

I'm looking for "cool stuff" on my own but also furiously tidying up so time is limited, so I appeal to the crowd - any suggestions?
