armor geeking
Oct. 5th, 2003 03:54 pmNo idea how I got on the Museum Replicas list, but I don't mind at all. Their reproductions are gorgeous, and they *claim* that they're strong enough for actual combat (if you wanted to risk scratching them!) I particularly like this stiletto, though perhaps the scissors-dagger is more "me".
What I'd really love is a rapier, but at their prices it's just too pretty to use. I suppose I could wear it, but if I can't use it, I mean, what's the point? (pun intended). One of these days I really will have to put together the perfect Musketeer/Landsneckht outfit so I have an excuse to carry one around!
Other fun stuff: Monty Python and Lord of the Rings toys. There is clothing, but while it might be fun it's historially inaccurate (no, women didn't wear chainmail lingerie in 15th c. France :P)
