what a day, what a day!
Aug. 7th, 2003 09:34 pmUp late last night, up early this morning. I woke up still feeling sore and bruised from fencing last night - not inherently a BAD thing, but can be trying when also suffering the effects of not enough sleep!
Work work work, then.. to the vet, where Kisia had her staples out and Spice had her annual exam/rabies booster. Much flying of fur and hissing later, back home to cook a rushed dinner and try and sort out why Kisia is still hissing at Spice. Discovered the Law of Feline Weight Distribution, which says that the group weight of all cats in a household must remain constant, even if it shifts between bodies (in other words, Kisia could stand to gain a pound, Spice could stand to lose one!):P
Politics: the California recall circus would be depressing were it not so funny! Aaaaah-nold as governor? Not much stranger than Jesse Ventura, I suppose (or Ronald Reagan).
There's going to be a protest against the CLEAN-UP Act September 6. This legislation would take truly draconian measures to actually enforce, so sounds like a plan.
For your amusement, read
dick_cheney. After all, we're not allowed to make fun of Dubya anymore :P
</political snarking>
I think I'm going to try and have a (relatively) early night and ask D. to dress my wounds..
