brief update
Jun. 24th, 2003 09:07 pmHarry Potter progress: I'm just over halfway through the hardcover; D. stayed up until 5 am listening to the audio book and is currently ahead of me (the man has NO internal clock!) Opinions (no spoilers): For an 800+ page book it is well written, engaging, keeps up the action without trying to throw in everything and the kitchen sink, and deals with surprisingly sophisticated themes for a book marketed to children.
Corset progress: taking a break. The first layer is done, the pattern finalized. Next step: doing it all again for the lining layer.
Back progress: want new spine, stainless steel if possible. Anyone know where I can get one?
Summer progress: Well, it finally got here! 90+F, sunny, Orange air quality warning, just as nature intended, hurrah!!
Work progress: busily bringing new person up to speed on the intricacies of my workload so I can have a guilt-free Friday off. Picks up quickly, but ultimately the real test will be trial by fire.
Writing progress: still typing madly away, juggling 3 very different storylines.
