mail server go boom

If I've not responded to your email in the past couple of days, it's because our mail server is having problems. D. is working on it. I'll get back to you as soon as I am able to open Outlook.

pole shift?

Can anyone tell me why it's June 1 and NOT 80F? At least it is no longer raining, and we were able to open the windows, so the cats are enjoying the new season of Cat TV (the very popular "Birds" is back, supplemented by "Wind", with Bunnies and Squirrels as occasional guest stars). My allergies have not been too terrible, though my eyes and throat felt a bit scratchy when I went out today.

What I did this weekend:

• fought with email - first my main SMTP name got changed to an address that didn't exist, so no one could reply to me. Now there's a larger problem with the server. D. is plugging away valiantly, hopefully this will soon be fixed.
  
• Cleaned up - mopped, dusted, threw out some very old magazines.
  
• Read - finished "The Master of All Desires" (decent historical/occult fiction) and "The Art of Dress".
  
• Fabric-ed - preshrunk & ironed 6 yds teal green linen. I was planning to make some sort of "jacket" for work, but now am not so sure; linen canvas is awfully stiff even after washing. I may do something easy that I already have a pattern for, like tuxedo pants to go with the tailcoat I made last year. In addition, a number of items I made over the past few months could use dress pads.
  
• Aired out some clothes - once I have some spare $ my first trip is to the dry cleaner.
  

Nothing much of excitement to report - getting by, trying not to stress.
