update, of sorts
May. 18th, 2003 11:07 pmThe weekend was blessedly uneventful - after a hectic week like this with more to come it was very, very welcome.
Saturday I did some final research and made arrangements for some bodyart next weekend. It's been about 6 years since my last piercing, so this is kind of a 30th birthday present to myself.
D. is much more motivated/much less touchy - I think he is finally starting to feel better about things. Saturday night I helped him catalog some of his comics, a project he'd let sit for months. Hopefully we'll have the lot done by next weekend and he can look for some means of selling them.
I played with my writing over the weekend - I'm actually brainstorming an (gasp!) original character. Will wonders never cease!
My sewing is on hold at the moment, due in part to funding and in part to the very real need to get my research in order before I cut anything. I'm still reading in "Art of Dress" and am up to the 1840s - I'm trying to learn the time period a bit before and a bit after my target time (1800-1815) so I can be more aware of what was possible during this time period.
My fabric did arrive. It is a bright, obnoxious, blinding hot pink-fuschia, a color I would never wear except as a gag, and this color screams GAG in more ways than one!
Off to bed so as to be better prepared to face this week's circus.
