Victory!

I finished the pattern today - up to and including all the little pieces and even the lining.

I am in pain from leaning over the table drafting/cutting, mostly my lower back and the back of my knees (??). I am almost glad I don't have the fabric on hand because it will force me to take a break!

Still deciding on fabric; as a lot of it has to do with availability I'm waiting for Buny's to get back to me with a list of their current stock.

in other news

I woke up on time for work, only to find that there was a new layer of snow on both my car and the parking lot. Thanks to geekchick, I found out that the government was closed for another day - so I promptly went back to bed until noon :P

Now most of the snow has melted, both from the cars and the parking lot, so it looks like I WILL be going in tomorrow. This is kind of good in a way - I have not stepped outside for 3 days (well, I got the mail today) and the cabin fever would probably have had me climbing the walls were it not for marathon sewing (see previous entry).

From the "some people never learn" department: Bush has decided to ignore the protesters and push ahead with his agenda. What was that thing someone posted sometime back about this guy having incredible consistency, even when it's a crap idea?

I'm going to go stretch out my back before attempting to sleep.
