pop cultural cheez of the day

Last night I watched one of the screwiest "Farscape" episodes I've ever seen, "Won't Be Fooled Again". Normally "Farscape" is a straightforward science fiction show, heavy on the fiction, but not silly.

There's just something about seeing a hairy slug in fetish gear that is so grossly inappropriate that it is PERFECT and hilarious!

(I know this makes no sense if you don't watch the show, but humor me. It really was funny. You had to be there :P)

I decided to draft a pattern for the duster based on a Vogue dress pattern I have (Frankenpattern strikes again!) while waiting for the weekend so I can get out for kimono fabric. My back is hurting from leaning over the table, but I'm ok if I only try to do this for an hour at a time.

It also looks like I'm going to a "play party" this weekend - not to participate, but because it gives me an excuse to wear some of my creations. Hmm, stays or lizard thing? No need to decide just now. Apart from the "dress up" factor it should be quite interesting as I've never been to such a thing before.

I got the latest G Street sale circular and realized I have another holiday coming up soon - Presidents' Day - that was a pleasant surprise!

Speaking of which, I should probably check mail (proper paper mail) before I go to bed.
