Good news of the day

In the midst of all the infuriating stories about the increasingly likely upcoming war with Iraq and presidental nods to pro-lifers, these two stories give me a little smile and hope that there is some sanity in the world:

Conservative withdraws from AIDS panel - yes, Dubya probably put him up there just to see how much sh!t we'll put up with, but more sensible voices were heard and heeded (for once).
