The Virtual Confessional
Nov. 28th, 2002 12:02 pmWandering through friends of friends of friends journals last night I came across the trend of anonymous journal confessions.
I found I couldn't stop reading, even as I felt I really ought not to be reading this stuff - sure, someone put it out there for public consumption but some of it was so personal. And yet so mundane - it seems like many people's insecurities are about the same things - sex, love, friendship, loneliness, fear.
Still not sure what to think, but I'm thankful that these folks are saying what they need to say to someone, even if it's anonymously in a strangers LJ.
