Aug. 24th, 2002 11:44 pmPuttered around the house today and went out and took care of some odds and ends. I picked up the final bits and pieces for the Xev costume and slunk through the latest slew of new Vogue patterns. Picked up the latest Issey Miyake and a hats package with some cloches, which I love. No, I don't know when I'm going to make all this. Does it matter?
I will probably fix up some of D.'s new jeans this week. Given his weight loss, has around 6 pair that fit well, but one of the new ones I picked up in LA are much, much longer than it says on the tag.
Tomorrow I may hit the Egyptian Treasures exhibit if it's not raining, if only for sentimental reasons - I still remember being blown away by the King Tut exhibit when I was 4, and though none of those items are in this show it would be nice to see all of that art up close at an age where I'm sentient enough to remember more than just a dim memory of a large gold death mask....
And if it rains - GREAT! I'll stay home and go out another day. I swear, much as I love summer the heat and unrelenting sun has been hard. I find myself looking forward to fall just for a change, though rain would offer the real respite.
The days are already getting noticeably shorter.
