Aug. 1st, 2002 09:04 pmSewing project is coming along just as it seems it ought to (crosses fingers, toes, etc.). I just have to be careful to plan carefully before I make a move, and BASTE BASTE BASTE everything before sewing in for good - it is virtually impossible to remove small stitching from knits without ruining the fabric.
My hand joints ache, particularly my left knuckles. We've been packing for our move to the next building all week, so I don't think it's from typing or other standard overuse. And I've only been sewing about an hour a day (if I can stick to the discipline of it, it's a wonder what you can do in an hour).
The last cheapie coffee maker died once and for all today, and D. got me a higher end Mr. Coffee during his weekly trip to Costco. Anyone care for 2 used coffeemakers that take forever to work and get grounds in your drink? Thought not...
I'm eagerly awaiting my last box from the L.A. trip. I found D. some jeans at the Wilshire Blvd. Ross (some cool things to be had there - but the location probably has something to do with the selection) and I'm hoping they fit/look good/are what he's looking for.
I cannot believe that it's already the 1st of August. The summer has flown by. Of course, it is still hotter than Hell, even for me (mark the calendar).
