My parents visited this weekend. Things went well. My voice is tired from so much talking!

They made the trip by car in one day, which surprised me - I thought they were going to take it slow (?). Turns out they got into town while D. and I were out at Hedwig, and because they knew they were early stayed in a hotel up the road.

We went out to the College Park Aviation Museum on Sunday - I think Dad would have liked to have gone to Air and Space on the Mall, but given Cinco de Mayo and Dad's medication-induced lowered energy Mom didn't think it was a good idea.

They both seemed to be in good health, but I worry because they both coughed a lot. Both are still smoking, and this worries me.

Even the cats liked them - I think it was because of the bribe of full-grown oat plants that they brought ;)

I took the day off to see them off, and D. and I went to see "Spider-Man" after they left. Good film, not earth-shattering, but good. Note to self - black and green shot taffeta may be a good idea.

It's been a busy weekend though. I need to do laundry and get out to the grocery store. And drink water to rinse out the pollen!

Finishing laundry, doing dishes. I did enough preparation for company that there is very little to do - a good thing because it gave me time to set up some marinades for dinner this week.

Selected my limited seating Costume College classes. I probably won't get all of them, but I'll certainly get at least one (crosses fingers).

D. and I both notice we have strong tendencies towards "alone time" after we've had company for a few days. It's one of those things I love about living with him - if after 3 days of ceaseless talk and entertaining I tend to withdraw, he gets it. After we got back from "Spider-Man" we both ran off and hid in our offices. Perfect :)

Off to make a grocery list for tomorrow. We have to stop ordering take out so often.
