(no subject)

Trying to stick to schedule so I can actually get some reading and sewing done this week, instead of miscellaneous odd stuff and aimless web browsing...

Got back to the Donna Karan dress over the weekend, after being too tired all last week to work on it. The sleeves are on, and for jersey are actually fairly well placed (!). For the points on the uneven hem I took a chance and experimented with extremely small mitered corners, which worked out well - I am quite pleased with their neatness and pointiness.

Read my "Mixer" mag after dinner.. evidently retro-electro is one of the raging trends; I am unable (so far) to find any online sound samples of the new bands. Interested in new music, but in my picky old age I'm getting more reluctant to spill $ on music I've never heard before.
