Took a nap when I got home last night, followed by a regular nights's sleep. I don't feel 100% better but I certainly don't feel as crappy as yesterday. D. was very kind to put up with me as I can be a real bitch when I'm tired and headachey.

Looking forward to fencing tonight; for awhile I was wondering whether I'd have the energy to attend.

Looking forward even more to getting 12-infinity hours sleep this weekend.

Why Can't the Democrats Get Tough?

An article outlining the tactics of the Republican Party vs. the Democratic Party (in the USA, for non-Americans).

The reasons outlined here are a good explanation of why I am frustrated by both of the major political parties in this country...the Republicans are mean, but the Democrats won't fight back - they're just wimps. I tend to favor the Democratic platform/"vibe", but I have little respect for a group of people who let themselves get walked on.

For the record, I'm a registered independent - I just don't like aligning myself with one "group" or another when none are a real fit.
