Got my Dune trousers today! They fit well in the waist and seat, but were 4" too long! Good thing I could hem them myself, and it was nice for once to get pants that were, beyond question, long enough. Even taken up, I am assured enough fabric to let them out forever if they shrink in the wash. They are a little baggier than I expected so the effect is more Dave Lister than Aeryn Sun, but I'll take it - they look slick :)
Played Trivial Pursuit with D. and it went - as usual - into neck-and-neck, both of us with all of the pie pieces and heading towards the center. He won - again. He's a very challenging person to play against and one of these days I WILL beat him! (This does not in any way mean that I am not still Trivial Pursuit Goddess - I can wipe up the board with almost anyone else!)
Recieved used books on both modern and period fencing. Given the bruises I still have from last week I should perhaps not look for new ways to injure myself, but fencing = fun.
Once again I am up too late, but will almost certainly be up before my alarm again tomorrow morning as I have been all week. Part of it is I'm still running the heat out of habit even though I don't need it, and it dries out my eyes and sinuses, thus waking me up. Think I'll turn it off for the night in the interest of easier breathing.
Must remember tomorrow to go to a meeting at one of our other locations and not go straight to the office. That's why I'm typing this here, to help me remember.
I dismantled the hematite elastic bracelet last night and re-assembled it fairly quickly with coiled brass wire links. Hematite does go really well with goldtone - looks like I'm breaking my 15 year long silver exclusivity. Unfortunately my favorite bead shop did not have wire in heavy enough gauge to do simple links, so until I find some, my blue bead fantasy necklace will have to wait.
Headache indicates I should try and get some sleep.
