Dec. 28th, 2001 09:47 amAs usual this has been the quietest work week of the year. I used the time to check EVERY SINGLE LINK on our Intranet, correct a few minor errors, and otherwise do stuff that normally I don't have time to do.
I'm still stuck with a lot of down time. My current time-filler is Crime Library, which provides hours of... well... amusement (considering the morbid nature of a lot of their content), and incredibly is less of a depressing read than the news (India vs. Pakistan is making me nervous). Electriccat - they have a large and comprehensive section on Jack the Ripper, if you are in similar inertia as myself.
I am drinking decaffinated coffee to stay warm more than anything else - winter finally got here sometime last week and I am less and less able to defrost. I am also finding that I feel physically weaker in the cold - can't lift as much, lose my breath faster, etc.
Also going to try and see if there are any other odds and ends I can take care of before things pick up next week. Don't know how much time I will have - the entire office is going out for dim sum for lunch (including me - I figure I can't be antisocial all the time) and I'm not sure how long we'll be gone.
