Feeling a bit better today than yesterday - its amazing what a good night's sleep can do. I think I can probably face - and even enjoy - the weekend to come.

Saturday - various stuff around the house, then spa treatments!

Sunday - visit with friends.

Monday - Lord of the Rings

Tues - Christmas and all of that.

I'm going to try and relax some. I realize that I've been uneccessarily stressing myself out.

I am going to be forced to injure my supervisor.

He comes in to work Monday and looks like hell. Insists he's well.

10 minutes later comes into my office running a fever, hacking and sneezing everywhere. Could I please drive him home because his wife has the car and can't get away?

Don't feel like I can say no so I do.

Sneezes and coughs in my car all the way there.

Weds: His next door office neighbor calls in sick. We haven't seen him for the rest of the week.

Today I start being heachachey, stuffy and ill. Work-to-school student starts getting sore throat as well.

And, yes, I know - diseases don't discriminate, germs just fly around, etc.

BUT....

this could have all been avoided if he'd STAYED HOME when he was running a FEVER and COUGHING and SNEEZING all over the place.

Dammit, I work MYSELF too hard and even I know that FEVER=BEDREST!!!

And no, I couldn't have caught it somewhere else. I've not been anywhere or done anything in the past week except a night-time grocery run in a relatively deserted store. No, not from D. - he's totally fine.

Gaah... just had to let that out. It just irritates me so damn much that I may well be sick on my much-looked-forward-to 4 day weekend. Thanks so BLOODY much....

I'm not giving up without a fight though. I'm going to try the mega-doses of Vitamin C method I read about in Geekchick's journal (read the 6th comment). I'm also going to stack on the echinacea and REST.

I've been going through my old magazine clippings, scanning them so I can throw them away.

I found and old photo-essay from a magazine called "Scene" that used the most marvellous metallic body paint by a company called Fardel. Goodie for Halloween/partying/etc. This online shop carries it.

Also found an ad for Time Out New York in the same magazine that featured a model with the MOST PERFECT shade of bright peacock-blue hair. If I can find the company that makes that color, it could be my next highlights!
