Today is coming out more or less as predicted.... weather getting bleaker, but at least it is still rather warm. Code clean up is indeed dull, perhaps even more vapid than expected. Listening to Democracy Now instead of Laura Lee though. And another cranial-cruncher is in the post.

At the same time, I almost dread going home. The house is always so dark and I get claustrophobic and tired - I only see a naturally illuminated room on weekends in winter. And even though I have plenty to keep me busy I feel utterly unmotivated.

And before I get a little MORE negative:

I am falling into a rut and I'd like to get out of it, even though I know that a lot of my slowdown is par for the course at this time of year. I picked up "Washingtonian" yesterday for its review of day spas; maybe I'll get a massage in the pre-holiday period to at least relax a little.

I'd like to get out and get the next size up of exercise dumbells, but the idea of going into a store at this time of year is anathema to me. I will try to continue with my current lifting though - its nice to finally be able to take my own garbage to the dumpster and I'd like to be a little more toned up top.

Formal fencing classes finish tomorrow, but I'm trying to get together a group of folks to free-fence until classes start back up in January. I hope one of us can find an indoor space before it gets very cold, or this may not happen at all.

Ok..got home, took something for my head, sat in front of my lamp and chilled out some. I am feeling a little more together now, though I still dread going into the office tomorrow to do more of the SAME DAMN THING.....whatever, I have got to stop letting the intense doldrums of work ruin my time at home. Otherwise I'll end up filling this space with nothing but useless whining and bitching.

Perhaps its time to start looking at stuff to do to keep sane. I've found a spa that, incredibly, is local and got a good review in the Washingtonian. There are always museums. Geekchick, what happened to that tea room you talked about some time back?

Meanwhile, I'll lift my weights and then cosy up to another episode of "Andromeda" with my beading stuff.
