Ditched the partlet - I realized sometime yesterday that no amount of trimming and re-sewing was going to make it work. I'm going to have to draft a new pattern, at some nebulous time in the future when I can stand to look at the damn thing again.

I cut out flannel for a petticoat to go with the Tudor (its so simple, "what can go wrong"?) and repaired the laces on D.'s smock. I have an uncomfortable feeling that Kisia may have eaten some of the string involved, but if so it doesn't seem to be adversely affecting her.

So against all odds I actually got something done.

D. has pulled his back again and cannot sit or stand comfortably. Still he presses on, trying to get work done at his computer. I swear, I'm never letting him take garbage out again!

Purged all caffiene from my system over the weekend and I am feeling something approaching normal. I am going to try valiantly to stay away from it this week lest I get into another week of teeth-grinding bitchiness.

I still can't figure out why it is so cold in my office.

Maybe I really should hibernate.

I just unsubbed from some of my numerous mailing lists/Egroups/newsgroups/etc. I find I spend far too much time sitting in front of the screen when I get home, filtering through posts and emails that are either redundant, stupid, or that I simply do not have time for. I decided I needed to stop overwhelming myself with (often trivial) information in the interests of getting more off-screen time. Maybe I'll have more time to immerse myself in the beautifully illustrated Fortuny book.

Having to stop off at the grocery on the way home to pick up plates/cups for a co-worker's going away party tomorrow. It irks me a little.... - not only is party-planning something that I am ill-suited to, but it is not in my job description (pardon dangling preposistions). I do suffer a fear that if I am roped into too much of these social-organizing sorts of things that it will undermine my professionality. I'm a web developer, dammit!
