I'm in one of those creative ruts. I'd like to start on the kimono but 1) I need more material, which would entail a hellacious trip through rush hour traffic unless I wait until the weekend, and 2) even though the pattern is by Simplicity, it is emphatically not simple. I figured, a kimono is a bunch of squares, how hard could it be? Surprise! Very, once you add the lining. In particular there's a slick turning inside and out that I've only done once before, and needed hands-on instruction to get it right.

I think I may just use this week to catch up on reading.
