Dec. 26th, 2002 10:04 pmFairly quiet day at work. After chipping my car out I get there to.. nothing. Surprisingly, most folks are there, but we're all on hold.
I gave blood after work, and felt.. perfectly fine. I didn't start feeling tired/lightheaded until after dinner, strangely enough.
I still have my phobia of needles attached to syringes/blood bags. It always feels like the needle is going halfway through my arm, though once it's in place I can pretend it's just the tape pinching me - as long as I don't see the needle in my arm.
Needles on their own are just fine. I associate them with new jewelry :P
I may go out and get supplies for the new pair of stays this weekend. For some reason I'm thinking green Chinese brocade silk, if I can find it. I'll need to go out to get more cable ties to use as boning, and the idea of going to Home Depot is not tempting.
Was reading this book about wearable art that I got for Christmas. I've always had some reservations about the whole wearable art "thing"; most of what I saw seemed excessively fussy and inelegant, but I'm starting to rethink this - the book shows a lot of shibori pleating/dyeing, felting, fraying...I could make it work.
