Halloween went well - I'm amazed we got as many trick-or-treaters (3-4 groups of 3-4 kids) as we did given how cold it was. One group were dressed up as "ninjas", but looked much more like little samurai - normally I don't find kids cute at the best of times, but these really were!

After about 8 we had no more knocks at the door so I went on to Fencing Club and stayed until the Community Center kicked us out. I'm finally convinced to get a pair of proper fencing knickers - this class ends the week before Thanksgiving and the next semester doesn't start until January, and given that the only indoor club readily available until then requires them, it makes sense. I need to order a new equipment bag anyway so I'll take care of both at once.

This weekend I mostly read and sewed. Heavier on the reading than on the sewing - I seem to love to think about making stuff far more often than I like to buckle down to the boring business of laying out and cutting out.

The lack of light is making me tired, but I'm fighting it with mixed success - I'm not depressed but I do fall asleep reading in the evening.

In search of Indian food - the recipes I have either have too many carbs for D. or things he won't eat (eggplant). I need to find either a decent cookbook of quick recipes or a decent Indian takeout.

Tuesday I vote, and go to a web accessibility seminar for work. I should really research the candidates so I'll know who I'm voting for.
