I won!

The never ending project is, astoundingly, done.

Sure, I may tweak it a little bit in the future. And, I may never have anywhere/why to wear it (Halloween doesn't count - it's too cold!)

But that's not the point. The point is: I made this thing from near scratch (I adapted existing patterns, but most of it was entirely my own). I suffered over it, bitched about it (Exhibit A: this journal), experimented with it, ironed it (to death, very carefully, to make adhesives adhere), and sewed this thing mostly BY HAND, dammit.

And I won. It looks good - not perfect, not ideal, but considering all the "firsts" involved (first sci-fi costume. First working with vinyl. First appliques/extensive work with double-faced fusible net) I think I did a hell of a job.

Nowhere to post these, not sure I would if I could so email me privately if you want me to send you digitized photos.

Until I find a way/place to store it, I'm going to just put it on my dress mold and LOOK at it.
